The fifth ELIoT F2F meeting was held in Munich at Nokia’s site on 4th and 5th of March 2020. Main topics were the open reference architecture for LiFi, the ELIoT demonstrators and the economic analysis of LiFi uses cases. In ELIoT an open reference architecture for LiFi will be developed to facilitate integration of VLC into various IoT applications. The initial results will be made public available. The realization of the six demonstrators is progressing well and we expect first measurement results on test expansions from the laboratories in the coming months. The introduction of LiFi into the market requires a detailed knowledge of the targeted applications, which are analysed in ELIoT from an economic perspective. From May on, we get support from Carmen Mas Machuca, an expert in the field of techno-economic studies and an Adjunct Teaching Professor at the Chair of Communication Networks at Technical University of Munich, Germany.
